Website Features – Upcoming Events, Updates & the Events Calendar

Today we continue our series on the new sandbox.foothillsfellowship.org website. This article features Upcoming Events, Updates & the Events Calendar.

There are several places at sandbox.foothillsfellowship.org to read up on what is happening at Foothills. Of course, we hope that all of the website features are relevant but there are certain places where you will want to check for important news and updates.

The best way to become familiar with Upcoming Events, Updates & the Events Calendar is simply to explore through the various pages and links. But here are some tips on what to look for:

1) The large banners on the main page that “Slide” from left to right will be bringing visitors the “big” events and news of the church. Such things as Sermon announcements, Youth Group news, and special events will be featured here. Currently these banners are information-only but soon will be linked to other pages with details behind the headlines.

2) The three smaller banners on the main page will highlight a variety of events and ministries. Here, too, will be news of such items as special events, bible studies, and certain ministries that we will want to call your attention to.

3) In the lower section of the primary page are information items, some of which will remain constant, and some of which change often, perhaps daily. The Upcoming Events & Updates column will be a major source of information for you. Such items as these Website Informational articles and special events such as the Mens’ Advance will be highlighted here. Simply click on any of these items to see further details.

4) The far right-hand column of the lower section of the main page features near-term Calendar Events as depicted on the Church Calendar. Again, simply click on any of these items to be taken to the Calendar entry for the item.

5) Last, but not least, you can access the entire Church Calendar by clicking on Calendar at the right side of the Main Menu. Navigate to the month you are looking for, and when you “hover” over any item you will see a summary of the Event in question. Click on the Event and you will see the entire Event entry.

From this point forward church leadership will be relying heavily on sandbox.foothillsfellowship.org to disseminate church news, announcements and church event information, so we encourage you to visit the website often. Of course, there will continue to be Sunday announcements as well as occasional informational flyers available at the Visitor Center in the foyer of the church, but our hope is that sandbox.foothillsfellowship.org will soon become your primary source for church news and church calendar information.
